We have a wide range of paddling sessions from introduction to paddling to sessions developing white water paddling techniques.

2 Star training Autumn Training sessions

Improve your paddling techniques with techniques to develop your forward paddling skills and gain confidence in paddling via paddling trips on the river, pool sessions to develop your paddling as well as an introduction in the swimming pool in developing self rescue techniques and rolling introduction sessions.

Director of Coaching
Peter Nash
Peter specialises in canoe and kayak coaching and is happiest paddling on white water in a 16ft Prospector canoe. With 25 years as a level 3 Kayak Coach and Director of Whoosh Aspire delivering paddlesport qualifications.  
From paddling White water  water in Wales to exploring rivers in Scotland, delivering paddlesport is a passion which includes trips and expeditions to New Zealand, South of France and Peru as well as paddling adventures in kayaks in the alps Scotland and Wales. 

Whoosh Explore Coach Helen Nash
A keen paddler, Helen has paddled on expeditions in NewZealand and has been involved in delivering coaching for nearly 15 years, training many young paddlers in expeditions and for the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
recent courses include bushcraft and Paddleboarding. Helen supports She who Dares and Womens Institute paddles, regularly exploring local rivers including completeing Sudbury to the sea- 26 miles of paddling with Daughters paddling open boats! 

Paddlesport Coach Tom Robinson

Beginning paddling after leaving primary school, Tom has developed his moving water skills at Lee Valley Whitewater centre and has trained with coaches across the UK. Now at university in Nottingham, he regularly takes weekends / days away to paddle rivers in places like North Wales and Teesdale as well as trips to the Holme Pierrepoint course and when not paddling with Whoosh Explore is often spotted shredding the waves at lee valley White Water Centre on the Olympic course.
Recent training includes Open Canoe association Symposium. When not on the river in a Kayak tom can be spotted heading downstream in an inflatable bus - White water rafting!

In addition to our coaches we have a range of experienced paddlers who take to the water mid week and on Saturday mornings 

We are always looking for inspirational paddlers to help develop our coaching team and offer local coaches the opportunity to develop paddling skills.
